Platinum
Species: anthro arctic fox (permanently winter-phase)
Gender: feminine plural
Age: 37, but see below
Outfit: Standard-issue purple Corps jumpsuit. Barefoot and otherwise unadorned.
Former member of the COMET division of the Cosmos Corps, now sole resident (times a few hundred) of a world bearing the same name. Volunteered to be part of the original experiments in Instancing, but it all went horribly wrong, and created an entire world (the size of a small town) full of nothing but copies of herself, all sharing a single consciousness. Resents Arcadia for causing the accident, but she can still function in society at large by popping parts of herself through dimensional portals. This has a few side effects.
-
She can present herself as humanoid, resembling her original form, by opening two portals and pushing the top half of a body through one and the bottom half through the other.
-
She can also perform "limb-shifting", opening further portals around her body and feeding more heads, arms, legs, or tails through. Her fluffy fur hides the discontinuities that result; she looks mostly natural.
-
She doesn't need to eat or breathe, and anything that enters her body just ends up in her private world.
-
Because of the instancing accident, Platinum no longer ages, nor does her body actually change in any way over time. She's permanently stuck in a 20-year-old body, and she's always going to be small for her age. She's also immune to any effects that might change her shape magically or otherwise.
-
If any part of Platinum suffers injury or becomes infected, it vanishes, but a fresh copy will replace it almost immediately. She is effectively immortal as long as her connection to Adeia stays intact.
-
Arcadia maintains that connection as a way of making up for the original accident, but it's getting harder to justify the cost.
