Move this tiddler

I placed some text below that I wanted to extract into another tiddler in another tank. I chose to try and create a tiddler called tank in the Public tank called Glossary. Should that be possible? I addressed the tiddler as tank@Glossary.

{{tank@Glossary}}

When I saved this tiddler, extracusion kicked in but didn't quite work as I intended. It created a tiddler called tank@Glossary rather than a tiddler called tank in the tank called Glossary.

Is there any syntax that would have achieved what i was trying to do?

The extraclusion process is only within the current tank/bag. It could probably be modified to move things to other tanks but that feels a bit like it would introduce too many variables and concepts into an already fairly complex context. I'm willing to be convinced otherwise, though, if you think it would be okay. The way to get the desired result now is to extraclude, then move, then transclude, which is perhaps too many steps? - @cdent

I was deliberately pushing at the boundaries. I find the first part of extraclusion, namely the creation of the tiddler and removal from current tiddler the main benefit so on that basis moving the object afterwards is probably enough for now. However, there is is a use case, which is where existing content needs to be distributed to more than one tank. James

Related to the move you did and desire for a rename, my technique, at the moment, for rename is:

  • copy text
  • delete tiddler
  • create new tiddler

This is cumbersome, so a rename command could be implemented if desired. If you think it is worthwhile could you make an issue? Thanks - @cdent
