The UK budget announcement for this year is so obviously patronizing and pandering and so intentionally oblivious to the real decline of standard of living of "normal" people.

It's offensive. In the US it was easy to get offended because politicians are so obviously stupid (or at least deaf to science or evidence). Here in the UK the offense comes because the politicians clearly think I'm stupid.
