I want to make a tool which makes it easy to inspect the state of the tooz-based coordination used by some of the ceilometer services. This would make it possible to see the current state of what members are in what groups. The basic idea would be a simple tool to which you provide a group name and a list of members of that group, right now, is returned.

It appears the coordination library makes it possible to ask for group members.

Questions:

• Do you just need to know the name of a group to make this work?
• Is any auth required?
• Is it possible to join a group, but not do any work? If so does this mean it is possible DOS a group by joining it many times and claiming to do the work of all them?
