Uveitis signs - small fixed irregular pupil (due to adhesions) with ciliary flush and blurred vision, usually younger pt
inflammation of uveal tract - iris (hence iritis), ciliary body and choriod (middle vascular layer)
complications - glaucoma, cataract, retinal detachment, macular oedema
cyclopentolate - keeps pupil dilated
steroid - reduces inflammation
causes - inflammatory (HLA B27), infectious, infiltrative (associated with neoplasia), injurious, iatrogenic, idiopathic (50%)
always refer for diagnosis and initial Mx
