migraine prophylaxis - BNF - start at 25mg noctefor 1/52 and inc at 25mg steps at weekly intervals -  usual dose 50-100mg a day in two divided doses.

P450 inducer - so contraception less effective (and teratogenic) - COCP - UKMEC3, Implant - UKMEC2 (Depo and Mirena unaffected)

''Side effects''
    weight loss (occurs in >10% people)
    dizziness
    paraesthesia
    lethargy and poor concentration
    rare but important: acute myopia and secondary angle closure glaucoma 
   less common - insomnia, myalgia and tinnitus
