Pustular lesions with central necrosis - acute tender erythematous with papillary dermal infiltrate of neutrophils
may be associated with fever and leukocytosis
consider as marker for systemic disease esp malignancy (leukaemia) and inflammatory bowel disease also pregnancy and streptococcal disease
lesions last 3-9 days
treat with steroids (or indomethacin)
