NICE  'Offer people aged under 55 years an ACE inhibitor or a low-cost ARB. If an ACE inhibitor is prescribed and is not tolerated (for example, because of cough), offer a low-cost ARB.'

Up to 15% of patients who are started on an ACE inhibitor develop a dry cough.
